Adolescent Chemical Dependency

Adolescent Chemical Dependency

Inpatient Adolescent Detox

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, three out of every five high school students participate in risky substance abuse behaviors. Recognizing the increased need for this line of service, St. Simons by the Sea has created the hospital’s first inpatient detox and rehabilitation program.
In this program, patients can expect to be seen by a psychiatrist and addictionologist to improve the efficacy of their treatment. Additionally, patients will be located in a secure environment surrounded by medical staff to assist them around-the-clock with any detox symptoms. The hospital uses an evidence-based detox protocol called the CIWA/COWS assessment which assists in safely detoxing the patient. Finally, patients can expect to participate in recreational, art, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy groups to assist them in understanding their diagnosis.

This program accepts Tricare, Wellcare, Peachstate, Caresource, BCBS, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna and all other major insurances.
